Beautifully set up by the author's personal encounters with British wildlife over his lifetime, each chapter focuses on different habitats showcasing their trials and triumphs.

Just one of the profound quotes that Stephen begins his chapters with, giving a real sense of the relationship that man has always had with nature and how important that is!
This book is a great marriage of science and romance, can't recommend enough!
